The Embassy of The Bahamas to the Kingdom of Belgium is thrilled to announce its active involvement in supporting and participating in the highly anticipated 2023 Caribbean Investment Forum (#CIF2023) set to take place at Atlantis, Paradise Island, from October 23rd to 25th, 2023. Under the theme “A Bold New Caribbean,” the event is organized by the Caribbean Export Development Agency, in partnership with the Government of The Bahamas and the European Union.

Her Excellency Cheryl E. Bazard’s presence at the high-level side event on gender-based violence, organized under the auspices of the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Minister, exemplifies The Bahamas’ commitment to tackling pressing issues that hinder the progress of gender equality. The event served as a standing-room-only platform for engaging conversations and strategies to combat gender-based violence and ensure the empowerment of women and girls.

Her Excellency, Cheryl E. Bazard, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of Mission to the European Union, expressed profound honor in welcoming Ambassador Eliana Villalobos Cárdenas to the Embassy. The meeting carried special significance as both Ambassadors share the distinction of being the 2nd female Ambassadors to their respective Missions, highlighting the growing role of women in international diplomacy.
