The Bahamas has been appointed to the Bureau of the Council of Ministers of the OACPS, marking its third such appointment in 50 years, with Ambassador H. E Cheryl Bazard representing the Caribbean region.

Today, The Bahamas was appointed to the Bureau of the Council of Ministers of the Secretariat of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) for the third time in 50 years.

As the Coordinator of the Caribbean Group of Ambassadors in Brussels (CGAB), Ambassador Bazard is honored to represent her country and the Caribbean region in this capacity. This appointment underscores our dedication to fostering unity, cooperation, and development within the OACPS framework.

The Bureau of the Council of Ministers plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction and policies of the OACPS. As a member, The Bahamas will actively contribute to discussions and initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by member states.
