Press Release
The Embassy of The Bahamas welcomed Roberto De Primis, President of the Cercle Francophone des Affaires Européennes, to discuss upcoming events and emphasize the country’s commitment to addressing climate change as a key foreign policy priority.
The Embassy of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the Kingdom of Belgium had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Roberto De Primis, President of the Cercle Francophone des Affaires Européennes, for a courtesy call today. During the meeting, discussions focused on the upcoming events organized by the Cercle and the potential for collaboration between The Bahamas and European partners.
The conversation covered a wide range of topics, but one key focus was on The Bahamas’ top foreign policy issue: the impact of climate change. As a Small Island Developing State (SIDS), The Bahamas is particularly vulnerable to the devastating effects of climate change, including rising sea levels and increasingly severe hurricanes.
Both parties expressed interest in further engagements that would raise awareness and promote The Bahamas’ efforts to combat climate change on the global stage. The Embassy looks forward to building on this fruitful dialogue in the coming months, aiming to strengthen partnerships and foster greater international collaboration on this critical issue.
