The OACPS, in partnership with The Republic of Indonesia, hosted a week-long creative economy training in Bali to foster sustainable economic growth, with Bahamian participants Anja Bowe and Moya Thompson sharing best practices and industry insights.
The Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS), in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, hosted a week-long capacity-building training in Bali to support the growth and sustainability of the creative economy. This initiative aligns with OACPS’s mission to foster development in member nations through innovative and resilient economic strategies. The training focused on empowering participants with essential knowledge, shared experiences, and best practices, underlining the creative economy’s potential as a significant pillar of national, regional, and global economic growth.
Representing The Bahamas, Anja Bowe and Moya Thompson had the opportunity to engage with experts and peers from various regions, gaining invaluable insights into building a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable creative economy. Through intensive sessions, participants delved into strategies for enhancing the creative sector, exploring ways to drive social and economic progress in their respective countries.
The training underscores Indonesia’s commitment to supporting creative industries worldwide and highlights OACPS’s dedication to bolstering economic growth through cross-regional collaboration. Participants left with actionable knowledge and strategies to elevate the creative economy’s role in contributing to inclusive, resilient development on both national and global scales.
