Press Release

The successful conclusion of an ambassadorial language course, sponsored by the Flanders Chancellery and Foreign Office, culminated in a closing luncheon at De Warande, expressing gratitude to key figures and emphasising the importance of linguistic proficiency in diplomatic circles.

Today marked the successful completion of an enriching ambassadorial language course, generously sponsored by the Flanders Chancellery and Foreign Office. Throughout the course, attendees were immersed in a comprehensive learning environment aimed at honing linguistic proficiencies, fostering intercultural understanding, and strengthening diplomatic ties.

The program participants were hosted at a convivial closing luncheon held at DeWarande, adding a touch of camaraderie to the peak of this educational journey. Here, participants extended their gratitude, or as we say in Flemish, “dank u wel,” to the instrumental figures spearheading this initiative. Wouter Nachtergaele, Head of the Division; Jill Suetens, Chief of Protocol; and the exceptional language coach Jan Vandenborre played pivotal roles in the course’s success.

We also extended our sincere appreciation to the Flanders Chancellery and Foreign Office for their unwavering support in equipping us with valuable language skills essential for diplomatic endeavours.

The successful conclusion of this ambassadorial language course stands as a testament to the commitment to fostering effective communication in diplomatic circles and nurturing a more interconnected global community.
