Ambassador Cheryl Bazard attends the Dominican Republic’s 180th Independence Day celebration, engaging in cultural immersion and dancing with performers.
Tonight, the vibrant spirit of the Dominican Republic was on full display as Ambassador H.E. Cheryl Bazard joined in the commemoration of the country’s 180th year of independence. Hosted by H.E. Ivàn Ogando Lora and his spouse, the event was a lively celebration of Dominican culture and heritage.
Guests were treated to a spectacular showcase of all things Dominican, with traditional music, dance, and cuisine taking center stage. The Caribbean Caucus, known for its unwavering support, was in attendance, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and solidarity among nations.
Ambassador Bazard, deeply immersed in the cultural festivities, actively participated in the evening’s activities, including joining in some traditional dances with the performers.
As the Dominican Republic marks this significant milestone in its history. Tonight’s celebration served as a testament to the enduring spirit and resilience of the Dominican people, as well as the unity and friendship shared among nations.
