Press Release

Ambassadors Simone Rudder and Cheryl Bazard foster stronger ties during a courtesy visit, exploring collaborative opportunities and discussing shared challenges for sustainable development between The Bahamas and Barbados.

The Bahamas and Barbados, two Caribbean nations, share a longstanding history of diplomatic relations marked by mutual respect and cooperation since the inception of an independent Bahamas. With similar commonalities and vulnerabilities, both countries have established robust linkages, particularly in addressing pressing issues such as climate change, climate finance, and the development of the Blue economy.

Today, H.E. Ambassador Simone Rudder and Ambassador H.E. Cheryl Bazard engaged in a fruitful courtesy visit aimed at deepening the bond between their respective nations. As island nations in the Caribbean region, The Bahamas and Barbados recognize the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing regional and global issues.

Through ongoing dialogue and cooperation, they strive to address the complexities of climate change and promote the development of a resilient and prosperous future for their citizens.
