Ambassador H.E. Cheryl Bazard inaugurates UNIDO’s three-day Business Diplomacy Training in Brussels, offering insightful opening remarks to diplomats, emphasizing the strategic importance of diplomatic efforts for fostering sustainable investments and economic growth worldwide.

UNIDO commenced the first day of its three-day Business Diplomacy Training in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together ambassadors and diplomats from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific—representatives of the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS).

This crucial training initiative seeks to empower ACP Embassies by providing them with essential knowledge and tools to adeptly utilize business diplomacy, thereby fostering sustainable investments and stimulating economic growth.

As the Vice Chair of the OACPS Subcommittee on Investment and Private Sector, Ambassador H.E. Cheryl Bazard had the privilege of delivering the opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of strategic business diplomacy. The UNIDO Invest in ACP Business Diplomacy Training, attended by diplomats from diverse regions, is designed to equip technical staff with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of international business relations.

This foundational training is a key step in maximizing the potential of business diplomacy, enabling ACP diplomats to actively contribute to promoting sustainable investments and cultivating economic prosperity within their regions.
