Global nations submit written statements to the International Court of Justice regarding their obligations in addressing climate change, as part of the United Nations General Assembly’s request for an advisory opinion.

The Embassy of the Republic of Vanuatu, under the leadership of H.E. Georges Maniuri, Head of Mission, convened a reception today to acknowledge the crucial efforts of nations submitting written statements to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding the United Nations General Assembly’s (UNGA) Request for an Advisory Opinion on State Obligations concerning Climate Change.

The Embassy of the Philippines in The Hague graciously hosted this gathering, underscoring the global collaboration on this pressing issue. The Bahamas added its submission to the dialogue, emphasizing the urgency of addressing climate change on the international stage.

Such diplomatic initiatives underscore the shared dedication of nations to confront the challenges posed by climate change and seek constructive solutions through legal frameworks and international cooperation.
