Ambassador Cheryl Bazard attended the Fêtes de Wallonie in Namur, where she engaged with local leaders and fellow diplomats, including representatives from Slovenia, China, and the United States.
Ambassador Cheryl Bazard recently attended the Fêtes de Wallonie in the historic city of Namur, marking a vibrant celebration of the Walloon region’s cultural heritage. The festivities were honored by the presence of local dignitaries, including the Mayor of Namur, the Governor of the Walloon region, and other prominent leaders of Wallonie.
The event, which saw a remarkable turnout from the corps diplomatique, provided an excellent opportunity for cross-cultural engagement. Ambassador Bazard had the privilege of connecting with fellow diplomats, including the Ambassadors of Slovenia, China, and the United States. The lively atmosphere of the Fêtes de Wallonie showcased the rich traditions and communal spirit of Wallonie, reflecting the region’s dedication to celebrating its unique identity.
