Ambassador Bazard returned to The Bahamas to connect with the Special Olympics team during a practice session and receive a copy of Das a Baheemyan! by local author Gilbert Williams.

Ambassador H.E. Cheryl Bazard recently returned to The Bahamas, where she took the opportunity to visit the Special Olympics team during a practice session. Ambassador Bazard spent time engaging with the athletes, witnessing their dedication, and sharing words of encouragement with the team as they prepared for upcoming events.

During her visit, Ambassador Bazard also received a copy of Das a Baheemyan!, authored by Gilbert Williams. The book celebrates the unique culture, dialect, and vibrancy of The Bahamas, a topic close to the ambassador’s heart.

Ambassador Bazard’s visit underscored her ongoing commitment to Bahamian initiatives, both domestically and abroad, supporting athletes and artists alike in showcasing the nation’s diverse talents. Her interactions with the Special Olympics team and with Gilbert Williams reflect her deep pride in Bahamian culture and sportsmanship, encouraging more global appreciation for The Bahamas.
