H.E. Dato’ Mohd Khalid Abassi Abdul Razak, Ambassador of Malaysia to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union, hosted a vibrant celebration of Malaysia’s National Day. The event was a beautiful showcase of Malaysian culture, featuring an array of traditional foods, music, and cultural expressions that highlighted the country’s rich heritage.
In attendance were friends, colleagues, and members of the diplomatic corps, including Ambassador Cheryl Bazard of The Bahamas. The celebration provided an excellent opportunity to reflect on the longstanding diplomatic relations between Malaysia and The Bahamas, which were formally established in 2003.
Ambassador Bazard expressed her delight in joining the festivities, noting that the occasion was not just a celebration of Malaysia’s national pride, but also a testament to the strong and friendly ties between both countries. The Embassy of The Bahamas looks forward to continued engagement and collaboration with Malaysia in the years to come.
