Press Release

Ambassador Bazard attends an event hosted by the Embassy of Barbados in Belgium, featuring artist Judy Layne-Banks and traditional Bajan cuisine, to celebrate and share the vibrant culture of Barbados.

Yesterday, the Embassy of Barbados in Belgium hosted an event featuring artist Judy Layne-Banks, a distinguished batik artist and jewelry maker. This special showcase allowed guests to immerse themselves in the vibrant and rich artistic heritage of Barbados, as they admired Layne-Banks’ exquisite batik creations and intricate jewelry pieces.

Today, the celebration continued as the Embassy took the event to the beach in Bredene, creating a lively atmosphere that truly embodied the spirit of Barbados. Attendees were treated to an authentic Bajan experience, savoring traditional delicacies such as fish cakes, tamarind balls, and coconut cake.

The gathering at Bredene was more than just a culinary delight; it was a testament to the warm hospitality and vibrant culture of Barbados. Amabassador Bazard thanks her colleague, Ambassador H.E. Simone Rudder for extending the invitation.
