Ambassador H.E. Cheryl Bazard actively participated in the Brussels Economic Forum 2024, highlighting the critical intersection of climate justice and international commitments for Small Island Developing States. 

The Brussels Economic Forum 2024 (EUBEF24), recognized as the European Union’s premier annual economic conference, convened today. This year’s forum addressed critical themes, including the “green transition in election times,” underscoring its relevance to global sustainability efforts.

Ambassador H.E. Cheryl Bazard engaged in discussions emphasizing the link between social and climate justice. Reflecting on the insights shared during the panel, Ambassador Bazard echoed the sentiment that for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) like The Bahamas, upholding international climate commitments is paramount to safeguarding national interests and resilience against environmental challenges.
