Ambassador Bazard attended the annual BD Comic Strip Festival held in Belgium , the festival highlighted a large variety of artwork.
Ambassador Cheryl Bazard attended the annual BD Comic Strip Festival at Gare Maritime, Tour & Taxi in Belgium, where the vibrant world of comic art, also known as the Ninth Art, was celebrated. The festival showcased a variety of works, from classic strips to modern creations, attracting a global audience.
Ambassador Bazard highlighted the striking similarities between the festival’s focus on storytelling through art and the tradition of Bahamian comic strips, which have long intertwined history and social issues to reflect the culture and values of The Bahamas. Ambassador Bazard remarked on the powerful role that comic art plays in both entertaining and educating audiences, while also addressing important societal themes.
