Bolivia’s 199th Independence Anniversary was celebrated in Belgium with cultural performances and traditional cuisine, highlighting the nation’s rich heritage.

The Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in Belgium commemorated the 199th Anniversary of Bolivia’s Independence with a vibrant cultural celebration. The event, hosted by H.E. Valeria D. Vilaseca Chumacero, featured an impressive array of musical performances that highlighted Bolivia’s rich artistic heritage.

The celebration began with a series of performances. Soprano Anna Pardo Canedo graced the audience with her beautiful voice, accompanied by the soulful melodies of the zampoña played by Miguel Estrada. Vladimir Pardo Sahagún delivered a masterful performance on the guitar, while Abel Pardo Canedo added the resonant sounds of the trumpet, creating an unforgettable musical experience.

Guests were also treated to a delightful selection of traditional Bolivian cuisine. The menu included flavorful empanadas, refreshing chuflay, tawa tawa, silpancho, and a sumptuous three milk cake, offering attendees an authentic taste of Bolivia.
